About Roger Gregory

I love this photo of me sitting on the “throne”, a fellow artist and friend Emily Barratt (www.emilyrbarrat.co.uk) made this for me a few years ago and I have used this ever since  to mark all my social media sites.
As for my work it reflects the images produced in the mind, the term I use to describe those images are my molecules of emotion. It is our emotions that dictate who we are, and from which I produce artistic representations of humanity.
I have spent many years studying anatomy, psychology and physiology of the human body and how I can represent humanity in different artistic ways.
From my earliest days I have studied many contemporary artists and tried to understand their approach to engaging with this world we live in and combined elements into my own unique artwork. As the saying goes “ no (hu)man is an island,” (John Donne,1624) and therefore I undertook a degree in contemporary art at the University of Derby, completing the course in 2015.

“Accept everything changes”. Collage 11 x 9 ins, 2019.
